My one-person exhibition, Bone Deep, at the Shircliff Gallery of Art of Vincennes University, IN, opened August 16th and runs until September 22nd. August 31st the documentary film, Work at Hand, will be shown at 7:00pm in the gallery and an Artist Talk and Opening will take place at 12::00 noon on September 1st.
Pre-Formed Notes Zoom Presentation
I was proud to be the host of a Zoom presentation event May 12, 2021 in conjunction with Linda Matney Gallery titled, Pre-Formed Notes: Michael K .Paxton Reflects on Appalachia and Early Athens, Ga with Art Rosenbaum. I am very honored to have been featured by the Evanston Art Center in a Zoom Virtual Studio Visit and Artist Talk for their social media platforms. Introduced by President and CEO of the Center, Paula Danoff and interviewed by Cara Feeney, Director of Exhibitions, who also did a very nice job of editing this video. Pillars of Dust Links
“Pillars of Dust” a one-person exhibition of large-scale paintings and works on paper will be presented at the Heuser Art Center Gallery of Bradley University, Peoria, IL. The show opens September 28, 2018 and runs through November 6, 2018. The documentary film “Work at Hand” will be screened before the opening and Michael will also meet with graduate painting students during the day. Partially Funded by both the Illinois Arts Council and a Part-time Faculty Development Grant form Columbia College.
